The Foxes return to Barclays Women's Super League action this weekend when they welcome the current league champions to King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon for a 6pm kick-off.

Leicester saw many individuals return from international duty this week, including Jutta Rantala who scored for Finland, but the break did bring some unfortunate injuries for Kirk, including England Under-23s players Goodwin and O'Brien.

During Thursday's press conference at Belvoir Drive, the Manager also announced that German' keeper Leitzig has picked up a shoulder injury.

"It's not been a great international break," Kirk admitted. "Missy [Goodwin] and Shannon [O'Brien] came back injured with ankle injuries. Shannon is looking worse than Missy and will be out for an extended period but Missy might be back next weekend.

"Janina [Leitzig] will be out for an extended period of time because of an injury to her shoulder. Rehab has started positively for her but we're not sure how long she'll be out for. It will be nice to have her back before the end of the season, but we'll have to see how she develops."

On a plus side, Lena Petermann is back available depending on our last training session.

Canadian forward Deanne Rose remains on international duty, having achieved qualification to the knockout stages of the CONCACAF W Gold Cup, but on a positive note, Lena Petermann has returned from injury and could be in contention to face the Blues.

"Deanne [Rose] is still away with Canada in the Gold Cup, having progressed from the group stages," Kirk added. "On a plus side, Lena [Petermann] is back available depending on our last training session."
