Leicester City Confirm Eduardo Macia Appointment
- The Spaniard has worked with Claudio Ranieri at Valencia in a previous role
- Macia has extensive experience of English football after a successful spell with Liverpool
- He has also grown his impressive reputation after working with Fiorentina, Olympiakos and Real Betis
Leicester City Football Club is delighted to confirm the appointment of Eduardo Macia as the Club’s Head of Senior Player Recruitment with immediate effect.
Eduardo, 42, has vast experience across a host of leading European football clubs and will join a highly successful existing recruitment structure at Leicester City.
The Spaniard’s experience stretches across spells in La Liga with Valencia, where he worked with current City boss Claudio Ranieri, as well as a spell with Liverpool in the Premier League.
He has also worked with Greek champions Olympiakos, Spanish side Real Betis and Italian giants Fiorentina, all helping him to establish a strong reputation within the game.
Leicester City Director of Football Jon Rudkin said:“Eduardo’s appointment follows an extensive process undertaken by the Football Club, to identify a candidate of outstanding experience that would contribute significantly to the long-term development our player recruitment strategy. His expertise and network of contacts will add considerable strength to our existing team of recruitment staff, whose skill and diligence contributed greatly to a successful summer transfer window.
