Leicester City travel to Huddersfield Town on Saturday (3pm kick-off) eyeing their first away victory of the new Premier League campaign and Shakespeare may have at least two players back from injury.

On Monday, five first teamers featured for the Development Squad in a 3-1 success over West Ham United and Foxes boss Shakespeare says Iheanacho (toe) and Iborra (groin) have been given a ‘clean bill of health’.

However, there are several who remain doubts for the clash at John Smith’s Stadium, with James and Fuchs among those to be concerns this week.

“We have picked up a couple who are doubts for Saturday,” Shakespeare said.

Iborra continues to return from injury in training.

“Matty picked up an Achilles injury against Chelsea. He hasn’t trained yet. We’ll see how he is tomorrow morning and we’ll give him every opportunity.

“Whether [Saturday] is too far, we’ll see. Christian unfortunately picked up an eye injury. It was a freak accident in training. A pole flicked up and hit him in the eye.

“It was a real freak accident. He’s seing a specialist this afternoon [Thursday] and we are going to wait and review that to see what the report is.

“It was nasty at the time. It’s cleared up at the moment. Until he sees the specialist, I would like to hold back and see how he is.

[Fuchs has] looked better on Wednesday and Thursday but, whether he’s available on Saturday, it’ll be touch and go.”

German defender Huth, meanwhile, was also among those to represent the Under-23s earlier this week and his manager says his condition (ankle) is improving.

“He came through okay as well and has continued training. All I’ve got to do is make sure their conditioning is right.

“When they start a game, they have to be ready to play at least 70/80 minutes. All three [Iborra, Iheanacho, Huth] will be assessed daily.”

Robert Huth played against West Ham U23s on Monday.

On new loan signing Dragović, Shakespeare added: “[He] is behind them in that, in terms of his conditioning.

"We need to be mindful of that but I also understand that players need games to prove match fitness.

“Each day, his conditioning is getting better. He has Christian as his friend and compatriot. They are an easy group to blend new faces in and all the newcomers have blended in well.

“I’m sure once he gets playing you’ll see the best of him.”
