Young Foxes Sit Third After West Ham Triumph

Leicester City remain within touching distance of the Premier League U18 South Division summit following a 2-1 victory over West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.

- Leicester City's Under-18s remain unbeaten in the Premier League U18 South standings
- Tyrese Shade and Lukas Husek scored in a 2-1 victory over West Ham United this weekend
- City next face Aston Villa on Saturday 30 September (11am kick-off)

Despite finishing 12th last season, the young Foxes have been in magnificent form this term and sit just two points below title holders Chelsea after five matches of the new campaign.

At Belvoir Drive on Saturday, Tyrese Shade and Lukas Husek, both assisted by Conor Tee, struck for Trevor Peake’s men before Korrey Henry’s consolation four minutes from time.

This latest victory gets City back to winning ways following a 2-1 reverse to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend in the Premier League Cup, their first and only defeat of the new season.

Next Saturday, Leicester travel to Bodymoor Heath to face Aston Villa (11am kick-off) before a showdown with champions Chelsea at Belvoir Drive on Saturday 14 October (12pm KO).

City: Stolarczyk, Ughelumba, Husek, Heaven, Elewa-Ikpakwu (Thomas 45), Leshabela, Fielding (McLeod 80), Gill, Tee, Williams (Brown 62), Shade.

Subs not used: Davies, Meite.

Goals: Shade 45, Husek 72.
