With the Foxes emerging victorious against a Sky Bet League 2 outfit, Ndukwu says there is much to be proud of and called for his team-mates to try to gather some momentum.

City next travel to Barnsley in the Premier League Cup on Tuesday afternoon (2pm kick-off) before returning to PL2 duties away at Tottenham Hotspur three days later.

Ndukwu hopes this result, on the back of successive victories over Chelsea and Hertha Berlin, can spur his colleagues on to continuing their excellent start to the new campaign.

“All the lads did well today,” he concluded. “We have got a lot of momentum as well. Hopefully we can take this into the league. It’s just about maintaining it now.”
