Puel Happy To Be A Fox

The 56-year-old reacquainted himself with the British and international media on Friday while detailing his stratagem to build on the Club’s remarkable progress over past seasons.
Puel, previously of AS Monaco, Lille, Lyon, Nice and Southampton, also took the opportunity to detail his desire to settle into life at King Power Stadium as quickly as possible.

“For me it’s a great Club and a fantastic opportunity. I have a good feeling to come here and to be a Fox,” he said, following his maiden training session at Belvoir Drive.
“It is great to be back [in England] and a great opportunity, I had one season here and I very much appreciated that. The players, the staff and the media.
“There are great managerial adversaries in England. It is a really top-level league; it is almost like playing a Champions League fixture every week.
“This Club has a young feel about them. They got promoted to the Premier League just a few seasons ago and they have made rapid progress to win the title.
“We want to keep the identity of Leicester City and to bring more consistency into proceedings.”
While Puel has plans for the long-term, the Frenchman’s focus is firmly on his first fixture as City boss, the visit of Everton to King Power Stadium on Sunday (4pm kick-off).
“This season, we will go step-by-step. We will try and perform on the pitch and have good results and to find our way to the top half of the table.
“This is not a dream, this is a reality. After, we will see if we can do other things in January and February.
"It is important to work together and find a good relationship between ourselves. We will then try to find something strong for the future. We know we need good results.”
Puel later confirmed that Wes Morgan will remain as the Club’s captain, but he also stressed the need for all players to show leadership qualities on the pitch.
“Wes is the captain for me, he has the respect of the players,” he continued.
“I want many captains on the pitch. It is important, he is respected by the players, which is a good thing.”
