A short break in Premier League proceedings sees the Foxes head to Highbury Stadium to begin their 2017/18 FA Cup campaign.

While City have never faced Fleetwood in a competitive fixture, Dragović believes his side must be at their best if they are to advance to the fourth round.

“We’re excited for the game,” Dragović told LCFC TV. “We want to win this game for sure. We want to beat every team and when it’s possible, to go to the final.

“We must go step-by-step. On Saturday, it’s the first step against Fleetwood and we want to win this game.

It’s very important for the confidence also because we didn’t win in our last four games, so that’s why it was so important this weekend that we won.

“Every victory is important, but we cannot go into the game and say we are winning for sure. We must give respect to Fleetwood. Every game is very difficult.

“We must give 100 per cent so I hope that in the end, we will win. Then, we’ll have confidence also for the next game against Chelsea. We know we play away, but first, we must win this game at Fleetwood.”

Dragović replaced Wes Morgan midway through the first half against Huddersfield Town and credited his City colleagues for their support on the pitch in the 3-0 triumph.

“It’s not easy because in the last few weeks, I didn’t play so much,” he continued. “I can only say thank you to my team-mates because they helped me a lot on the game also.

“I was very happy that we won 3-0 – this is the most important thing. I am a person who always says the Club is more important than one player. The team is the star and that’s the most important thing.

“It’s very important for the confidence also because we didn’t win in our last four games, so that’s why it was so important this weekend that we won.

“Now, today (Wednesday), we can make a recovery. From today, we’ll focus on the game on Saturday also because we know that cup games are very tough and for Fleetwood, it’s their game of the year.

“They will fight for 90 minutes, maybe longer, and that’s why we must give 100 per cent when we want to win.”
