The Foxes defeated the 13-time English champions with a dominant display at King Power Stadium - gathering 67 per cent possession and taking over 300 more touches than Unai Emery's men.

After an assured start to the clash, Tielemans finally gave City a deserved lead with a confident header in the 59th minute before a Jamie Vardy brace wrapped up the three points.

Speaking at full-time, the talented Belgium international expressed his delight at the nature of the performance and revealed the excitement he feels to build on the progress already made.

"I think it’s a big win, we scored three goals at home and we didn’t concede one, so to do that against a big team like Arsenal, it was a pleasure," the 21-year-old said.

Having scored 45 goals across his professional his career - at R.S.C. Anderlecht AS Monaco and Leicester - Tielemans also revealed that Sunday's effort was the first he's netted with his head.

His maiden Foxes goal, a breakaway effort against Fulham, and his second, a stunning free-kick at Huddersfield Town, exhibited Tielemans' technical ability with the ball at his feet.

However, while his latest effort came in a different style, the Sint-Pieters-Leeuw-born midfielder was nonetheless thrilled to add to his tally for the Foxes.

I think we were playing really good, both in the first half and the second half. That’s most important, to play a full game at high intensity and with good quality.

"I think we were playing really good, both in the first half and the second half," he added. "That’s most important, to play a full game at high intensity and with good quality."
