Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell is ‘fit and available’ for Saturday’s Premier League encounter with AFC Bournemouth, Brendan Rodgers has confirmed.

- Ben Chilwell is available for selection for this weekend’s match against AFC Bournemouth, according to Brendan Rodgers
- Wilfred Ndidi has also recovered from a hamstring injury
- Rodgers says City will check on the fitness of skipper Wes Morgan

The Academy graduate, 22, has missed City’s previous three fixtures against Chelsea, Sheffield United and Newcastle United due to a minor hip complaint.

Rodgers says Chilwell will be back in the matchday squad for this weekend’s fixture with the Cherries, following his call-up to the England squad for the upcoming international break.

“He’s back into the squad, and he’ll be fit,” said Rodgers of Chilwell. “There’s been consultation between the Club and the [Football] Association and if he wasn’t ready to go, we wouldn’t send him.

“He’s fit and available for tomorrow, he’ll be fine to go [away with England].”

Rodgers will also be able to welcome back Nigeria international midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, who has sat out City’s last two outings due to a hamstring problem.

The Leicester manager said: “Wilf is back in the squad. We could have maybe taken him in midweek, but we wanted to give him a good week’s training."

Wes Morgan, meanwhile, will be assessed after he came off in the second half of the Foxes' Carabao Cup Second Round tie with Newcastle United.

"Wes came off with an issue with his back, but we’re waiting to see the final results," added Rodgers.
