Leicester City's biggest-ever Premier League win on Sunday, a 5-0 success over Newcastle United, was the final act of a four-game weekend for the Club's various teams.

While the first team's brilliant display against the Magpies propelled them up to third in the Premier League, the Club's Development Squad, Under-18s and Women team were also in action.

On Saturday, City's Under-23s were held to a 2-2 draw by Chelsea at Holmes Park, while the Under-18s completed a stunning comeback in a 4-4 draw at Manchester United.

At Farley Way on Sunday, meanwhile, the Leicester City Women were narrowly beaten by Crystal Palace after a one-week break from the FA Women's Championship for the Continental League Cup.

Following successive victories over Tottenham Hotspur and Luton Town, in the Premier League and Carabao Cup respectively, the first team's September got even better on Sunday.

Ricardo Pereira's second goal in as many top-flight outings started City's goalscoring against Newcastle, before Isaac Hayden was dismissed in the 43rd minute for a challenge on Dennis Praet.

After the break, a scintillating brace from Jamie Vardy bookended an own goal from Paul Dummett, before Wilfred Ndidi's late strike added a touch of gloss to the scoreline for the Foxes.

It's a result which sees Leicester surge up the Premier League table to third on 14 points from seven matches, meaning Brendan Rodgers' men are averaging two points per game so far this term.

The Club's Development Squad were denied victory in the 95th minute at Holmes Park as Chelsea netted in the dying moments to seal a 2-2 draw in Premier League 2 Division 1 on Saturday.

Quick thinking from George Thomas allowed the Wales international to find George Hirst straight from a free-kick in Whetstone, giving his Foxes team-mate an easy finish early on.

When Callum Wright was felled in the area by Chelsea shot-stopper Nicolas Tié, Hirst stepped up to score his second of the afternoon from the penalty spot.

However, in the second half, the visiting Blues rallied with Faustino Anjorin and Thierno Ballo both netting to leave City's youngsters ninth in Premier League 2 with seven points.

Mark Helm, Ben Hockenhull and Dillon Hoogewerf struck for Man Utd's youngsters and, while Tom Sams momentarily narrowed the deficit after the break, Shola Shoretire made it 4-1 on 50 minutes.

With it all to do in just 15 minutes, the comeback began with Ethan Fitzhugh before Will Russ and then Shane Flynn, from the penalty spot with four minutes remaining, stunned United and sealed a point.

City and United share the top two positions in Group F, with Brighton & Hove Albion and West Bromwich Albion yet to play, with a point apiece before the U18 Premier League resumes next weekend.

However, the visitors equalised through Annabel Johnson before Leeta Rutherford’s fearsome effort found the top corner with just 10 minutes to go.
