Leicester City suffered their first defeat of the season on Saturday, as Marcus Rashford’s early penalty settled the fixture at Old Trafford.

Having recorded back-to-back wins over Sheffield United and AFC Bournemouth before the international break, City were unfortunate to return to Leicester without at least a point.

A difficult opening period was followed up by a strong showing in Manchester, with James Maddison, Ben Chilwell and Wilfred Ndidi all going close.

But Brendan Rodgers’ men were beaten by Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s outfit for the first time in the 2019/20 Premier League campaign.

On the same day, meanwhile, the Club’s Development Squad were edged 2-1 by Arsenal at Emirates Stadium in Premier League 2.

Ali Reghba deservedly put the Under-23s ahead 10 minutes before the interval, but a strong Gunners side triumphed after two quick-fire goals from Tyreece John-Jules just after the restart.

Prior to the fixture, they had recorded their first triumph of the season, as they beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 in Telford.

Strikes from Zimbabwe international Admiral Muskwe and forward George Hirst sealed all three points at the New Bucks Head on Friday 30 August.

The Club's Academy stars recorded a 1-0 win over Arsenal thanks to Sidnei Tavares' strike.

The Club’s Under-18s sealed their first win of the 2019/20 U18 Premier League South season with a brilliant 1-0 success over Arsenal at Belvoir Drive on Saturday afternoon.

Following successive 1-1 draws with Norwich City and Reading early in the campaign, the young Foxes were beaten by Brighton & Hove Albion and Fulham over recent weeks.

However, the visit of the Gunners to Belvoir Drive saw captain Sidnei Tavares fire in a winner just after the hour mark in Leicester.

The Portugal youth international, 17, signed a first professional contract with Leicester City in March 2019, and scored three times for the Under-18s in 2018/19.

Jonathan Morgan's Foxes side raced into a two-goal lead over the Bees thanks to efforts from Leigh Dugmore and new signing Lucy Johnson.

However, a double from Lauren Pickett and Nikita Whinnett’s equaliser made it 3-2 to the visiting side with six minutes to play.

But Leicester City Women salvaged a draw from the clash as Nat Johnson headed home to secure City's first point of 2019/20.
