- The result leaves Thailand fourth in 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification Group G

Just days after producing a Man of the Match performance on his first competitive international start, Suengchitthawon was once again named in the XI for Thailand's 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification Group G encounter with Malaysia.

Wearing the No.10 shirt, City's 21-year-old was part of a Thailand side who dominated possession at Al-Maktoum Stadium, but it was Johor Darul Ta'zim winger Safawi Rasid who opened the scoring for Malaysia in the 52nd minute from the penalty spot.

Thailand couldn't find a response in Dubai, and the defeat leaves Suengchitthawon's side fourth in qualification Group G, with nine points from eight games.

City's international representation resumes on Wednesday with Danny Ward set to come up against Leicester colleague Çağlar Söyüncü when Wales tackle Turkey at Baku Olympic Stadium.
