Leicester City's Under-18s fell to a 1-0 reverse to Southampton in their penultimate league fixture of the season on Saturday at LCFC Training Ground.

The young Foxes, who went into the clash on the back of a loss at West Bromwich Albion following a superb 2-0 win at Chelsea earlier in April, are looking to secure a top half finish in the U18 Premier League South standings. Just two games remain for the Club's Under-18s in the 2021/22 campaign.

City's third-last outing of the season was a tough one as league leaders Southampton visited Seagrave and a tight encounter was ultimately settled by Matthew Carson's effort on 22 minutes.

Aston Villa are next up for Leicester's youngsters at LCFC Training Ground on Saturday (11am kick-off) before a visit to Motspur Park on 7 May (12pm kick-off) concludes an encouraging term which has also included runs to the last-four of the Premier League Cup and the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup.
