Leicester City's Under-18s ended their season on a high note with a 2-1 victory over Fulham at Motspur Park on Saturday.

The young Foxes went into the clash in south west London on the back of an impressive 2-1 success over Aston Villa to conclude their 2021/22 home campaign. After an even opening, in the 36th minute, Fulham took the lead as Devan Tanton's cross was volleyed in by Oliver Sanderson.

City's youngsters, though, remained composed. They were level at the interval as Amani Richards spun on the spot and curled a tidy finish beyond Michael Allen in the home side's net.

Sammy Braybrooke was denied by Allen after the break, before the Fulham shot-stopper dived across his goal to get a hand to Jahmari Lindsay's effort. Xavier Benjamin was also needed to clear the ball off the line shortly afterwards. Just before the hour mark, Leicester were ahead.

Charlie Robinson's loose back-pass was intercepted by Chris Popov, who motored forward and picked his spot to seal the points. Richards missed another opportunity late on for the visitors, but Popov's strike would ultimately prove to be enough for the young Foxes.

City must now wait for results elsewhere for confirmation of their final standing in the U18 Premier League South division. They currently sit fifth with 47 points from their 26 matches, with a goal difference of +16.
