Belgium duo Timothy Castagne and Youri Tielemans became the latest Leicester City stars to feature at the FIFA World Cup on Wednesday.

- Timothy Castagne and Youri Tielemans appeared for Belgium on Wednesday evening
- The Red Devils sealed a 1-0 win over Canada in their FIFA World Cup opener
- Wou Faes was unused on the substitutes bench for Belgium
- Roberto Martínez's men are in Group F with Morocco and Croatia

Castagne and Tielemans both started for the Red Devils in their Group F opener against Canada as Michy Batshuayi's solitary strike sealed a 1-0 win at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium. Wout Faes, on the other hand, was named among the substitutes for Roberto Martínez's men in Qatar.

Midfielder Youri Tielemans played for 45 minutes for his country.

Despite Belgium's lofty FIFA World Rankings standing and Canada's lack of experience in major tournaments, it was the Maple Leafs who dominated for large spells. Indeed only a fine penalty save from Real Madrid's Thibaut Courtois and wasteful Canadian finishing kept the scores goalless early on.

Batshuayi's 44th minute finish, on the counter, was against the run of play but nonetheless gave Belgium a lead which they would successfully defend until the final whistle in Al Rayyan.

Tielemans, now on 56 caps, was withdrawn at half-time, while Castagne's 27th international appearance lasted the full 90 minutes. Belgium next face Morocco on Sunday (1pm kick-off) and then Croatia on Thursday (3pm kick-off). Those two sides drew 0-0 earlier on Wednesday.
