Leicester City's Dan Amartey played another full 90 minutes as Ghana sealed a thrilling 3-2 win over South Korea at the FIFA World Cup on Monday.

- Dan Amartey helped Ghana to a 3-2 win over South Korea at the FIFA World Cup
- Leicester City's centre-back was making his second appearance at the tournament
- The Black Stars are now second in Group H with one game to play
- City have seven players representing their nations in Qatar

Following an 3-2 reverse to Portugal in their Group H opener last week, the Black Stars needed maximum points at Education City Stadium.

It started well for the African side too when Mohammed Salisu put them ahead, firing into the net from close range midway through the first half, before Mohammed Kudus' glancing header made it 2-0.

From a position of comfort in Al Rayyan, things threatened to get complicated for Ghana in the second half as South Korea came storming back after the restart.

A brace from Cho Gue-sung in just three minutes levelled the scoreline, but Amartey and his international team-mates rallied to retake the lead.

Euphoria for Dan Amartey and his team-mates at the full-time whistle.

Kudus' low hit, which squirmed through the grasp of South Korea goalkeeper Kim Seung-Gyu, was the winning moment in the 68th minute - despite heavy late pressure.

Some heroic defending, including last-ditch blocks and tackles from Amartey, was ultimately enough for Ghana - who rise to second in Group H on three points from two games.

Their final group stage outing sees them take on Uruguay on Friday (3pm GMT kick-off).
