Manager Willie Kirk has confirmed a late call will be made on Shannon O'Brien's availability for LCFC Women's clash with Chelsea on Wednesday evening.

- LCFC Women take on Chelsea on Wednesday in the Barclays Women's Super League
- Wednesday's fixture at Kingsmeadow has a 7pm BST kick-off
- Willie Kirk has provided a fitness update on his squad during Monday's press conference at Belvoir Drive
- A decision on Shannon O'Brien will be made late on, the manager stated

The games are coming thick and fast for the Foxes, who less than a week after a convincing 4-0 win over Liverpool at King Power Stadium, travelled to London to face Arsenal at Meadow Park on Friday evening.

Level for most of the game, it took a wonderstrike an hour in from Frida Maanum to defeat City, who head back to the capital for the second time in a matter of days to face off against current Barclays Women's Super League champions Chelsea at Kingsmeadow on Wednesday.

There’s a late decision to be made on O’Brien, who might be back in the squad for the first time in a while.

Ahead of their trip south, Kirk provided a fitness update on his squad during Monday's press conference at Belvoir Drive and told the media that striker O'Brien is edging towards selection, since spending more then four months on the sidelines.

“There’s a couple of knocks which we will make a late call on," Kirk explained. "And there’s a late decision to be made on O’Brien, who might be back in the squad for the first time in a while, but we need to see how she reacts to training today.

“Other than that, there’s nothing major, or no news at the moment that rules anybody out, and we’re hopeful that remains the case ahead of Wednesday’s game against Chelsea."
