LCFC Women are close to a clean bill of health as they prepare to take on Aston Villa in the Barclays Women’s Super League.

- Willie Kirk speaks ahead of LCFC Women’s clash with Aston Villa
- The Foxes Manager reported no new fitness worries in the squad
- CJ Bott remains absent for Friday’s Barclays Women’s Super League return
- Hannah Cain is continuing her rehabilitation from an ACL injury

The Villans visit Pirelli Stadium on Friday night (7pm GMT kick-off) and, ahead of that WSL encounter, Willie Kirk confirmed that there are no fresh injuries in the squad.

Full-back CJ Bott remains unavailable due to a calf complaint, with the New Zealand international not in action since Leicester’s draw with Brighton & Hove Albion on 10 December.

She’s probably still a week away or two weeks away from coming back.

Hannah Cain, meanwhile, is continuing her recovery from an ACL injury.

“No, nothing [new],” City’s Manager told reporters in his pre-match press conference on Wednesday afternoon. “CJ Bott is still out. She’s probably still a week away or two weeks away from coming back but apart from that we have a clean bill of health.”
