The Foxes have won their previous three games at the home of the Baggies, with the latest a 1-0 victory courtesy of a solitary Jamie Vardy strike back in April.
Alan Pardew’s men have suffered six straight defeats in all competitions and currently sit eight points adrift at the foot of the Premier League table.
Discussing his side’s preparations, Mahrez told LCFC TV: “This week has been good. Last week, it was very, very cold! I’ve never seen this in my life since I’ve played football.
“It’s been a good week. We’ve worked very well. It’s our last training session tomorrow (Friday).
“We go to West Brom to try and win. It will be a big battle and it will be a difficult game against a very good team.
“When they are last, they will give 100 per cent. They will give everything. They need to win to believe to stay in the Premier League. It will be a tough, tough game.”
Mahrez was on target the last time City faced West Brom – his third goal in his last five appearances against the West Midlands outfit.
“It was a bit like Bournemouth,” the City No.26 reflected on that clash. “We didn’t play well. They scored and then they stayed behind for all of the game.
“Maybe 10 minutes before the end, I scored the goal. I’ve scored a few goals against West Brom, away as well.
“I’m good against them. Hopefully, I’ll score Saturday and we’ll win – that’s the most important thing.”
The Algeria international’s superb free kick against AFC Bournemouth last time out saw him reach double figures for the third-straight season.
He added: “Obviously, you always set yourself a target. I always try to get more than 10 goals or more than 10 assists.
“I think I’m nearly there, but I don’t want to put too much pressure on myself. The most important is the team.
“We need to perform as a team to get some good wins to stay in the Premier League and maybe achieve something else.”
