- Midfielder Barnes also struck to help West Bromwich Albion seal victory at Norwich City
- George Thomas, Daniel Iversen and Max Bramley were in action as well

Moore, 20, got on the end of an attacking free-kick as Oud-Heverlee Leuven booked their first victory of the new Proximus League season, a 2-1 success at Royal Union Saint-Gilloise on Sunday.

The Foxes defender, embarking on his second loan spell with Nigel Pearson's side, scored the opener for OHL before a 90th-minute Kenneth Schuermans winner at Stade Joseph Marien.

The Belgian outfit's skipper has become an invaluable member of the squad at King Power at Den Dreef Stadium as they bid to win promotion to the Jupiler Pro League.

The young defender acknowledges the away fans in Brussels.

He will hope to make his third appearance of the new campaign when OHL host fellow promotion hunters Beerschot Wilrijk this Sunday (3pm BST kick-off).

Elsewhere, Barnes appeared twice for West Bromwich Albion over the past week after his goalscoring exploits in the opening day defeat by Bolton Wanderers at The Hawthorns on Saturday 4 August.

The Academy graduate, a tenacious midfielder with an eye for goal, played the full 90 minutes for Darren Moore's Sky Bet Championship outfit in a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.

On Saturday, the 20-year-old scored a decisive goal, West Brom's third, in a thrilling 4-3 victory over Norwich City at Carrow Road, a result which propelled the Baggies up to eighth in the second tier.

West Brom are next in action at home against Luton Town in the Carabao Cup First Round on Tuesday evening (8pm BST kick-off).

Meanwhile, George Thomas and Daniel Iversen made their maiden appearances for Scunthorpe United and Oldham Athletic in the Football League.

Barnes has already scored twice for the Baggies this term.

Thomas, 21, starred from the beginning as the Iron were held to a 1-1 draw by Walsall, who introduced Josh Gordon in the 95th minute after his permanent transfer from the Club on Thursday.

“I’ve really enjoyed it and I’ve settled in pretty quickly,” he told scunthorpe-united.co.uk. “The boys have been sound with me and I think it’s important for me to train well and get as many minutes as I can.

“For me, it’s about building on my 90 minutes and hopefully the goals and the assists will come.”

On the other hand, Iversen, 21, made his senior debut for Oldham in a 2-1 defeat by MK Dons, which preceded a 1-1 draw at Forest Green Rovers on Saturday afternoon.

After his Man of the Match display at The New Lawn, Iversen told oldhamathletic.co.uk: “We can do more especially from what I've seen on the training pitch.

“It was a hard game for us, they pressed us really hard first half and also in the second half and I think we weren't so good in the first half, we were sloppy on the ball, our passing, our defending was too deep so the first half wasn't so good but the second half we got a little bit better.”

Slimani will spend the remainder of the season with Fenerbahçe.

Another young Foxes shot-stopper, Max Bramley, 20, also impressed by keeping a clean sheet on his first outing for Telford United in a 0-0 stalemate with Kidderminster last Tuesday.

One player yet to feature, however, is 30-year-old Algerian striker Islam Slimani, whose loan move to Turkish giants Fenerbahçe was confirmed on Sunday.

They face Benfica in a UEFA Champions League Third Qualifying Round second leg tie (0-1 on aggregate) at Şükrü Saracoğlu on Tuesday night (7pm BST kick-off).
