The Foxes welcome Brighton and Hove Albion to Holmes Park following last week’s 1-1 draw at Chelsea, sitting just one point adrift of the Division 1 summit.

Knight, 21, has been a standout performer for City’s Under-23s and appears to be benefiting greatly from the opportunity of playing alongside Danny Simpson and Çağlar Söyüncü.

Speaking to LCFC TV ahead of Monday’s clash, he said: “It’s a really good feeling for us at the moment, being at the top of the league and winning games.

“The boys have been good this season and last season was a bit disappointing because of where we finished in the league [third], but I think this season, we should be good.

“The boys are buzzing. In training, it’s high tempo and we’re looking forward to the game.

“I feel like I’m doing what I did last year [and] going away with the first team in pre-season helped me a lot, but every time I step out on the pitch I give everything.

“I just give it 110 per cent and that’s all I can do really.”

There’s a lot of fans that go down there and we feel more at home there. We feel like we can beat teams so we feel more dominant at Holmes Park.

Discussing the fixture at Holmes Park, Knight added: “Last season we did really well there. At King Power Stadium, it’s always good, but at Holmes Park, it’s more of a fortress.

“There’s a lot of fans that go down there and we feel more at home there. We feel like we can beat teams so we feel more dominant at Holmes Park.”

Nick Walsh and Sean St Ledger will be at Holmes Park on LCFC TV from 6:45pm BST.
