Originally called-up to Aidy Boothroyd’s Under-21s side, Chilwell will now link up with fellow Leicester City stars James Maddison and Harry Maguire.
Chilwell made his Three Lions debut in front of a home crowd last month, when England hosted Switzerland in an international friendly at King Power Stadium.
The left-back could potentially make his second appearance for Southgate’s men on Friday 12 October against Croatia in Rijeka, before a second match follows on Monday 15 October versus Spain in Seville.
