- Harvey Barnes grabbed an assist in West Bromwich Albion’s 2-2 draw with rivals Aston Villa
- Filip Benković and Daniel Iversen both helped their sides to victory on Saturday

With the visiting side already leading through forward Anwar El-Ghazi’s 12th-minute strike, Barnes breezed past right-back Alan Hutton before lifting a fine pass into the path of Dwight Gayle, who beat Orjan Nyland with a first-time effort.

El-Ghazi restored Villa’s lead after the break, but Jay Rodriguez was on target in the first minute of injury time to secure a point for Darren Moore’s men.

On the same evening, Poland international winger Bartosz Kapustka played 90 minutes for OH Leuven in their 3-1 Proximus League reverse to KSV Roeselare.

Filip Benković has featured 14 times for Celtic this season, scoring once in the process.

They had initially led through midfielder Mathieu Maertens, but strikes from Andrei, Stijn De Smet and Thiebaut Van Acker sealed three points for the hosts.

Filip Benković, meanwhile, again tasted victory for Celtic as his outfit swept Kilmarnock aside to move back to the top of the Scottish Premiership with a 5-1 win.

Four goals in the first half courtesy of James Forrest, Odsonne Edouard, Mikael Lustig and Ryan Christie put Brendan Rodgers’ men into a commanding lead before Forrest added another after the break.

Benković lifted the Scottish League Cup last weekend, playing the full game as Celtic defeated Aberdeen 1-0 at Hampden Park.

Another man to enjoy his weekend outing was Denmark youth international goalkeeper Daniel Iversen, who kept a clean sheet in Oldham Athletic’s 2-0 win at Crewe Alexandra in League 2.

Iversen has been heavily involved for Oldham Athletic this season.

First-half strikes from Peter Clarke and Chris O'Grady saw Oldham extend their unbeaten run to seven games in all competitions, with Iversen missing just one fixture during that period.

Over in the Turkish Süper Lig, Algeria international striker Islam Slimani played from start to finish in Fenerbahçe's 3-0 defeat to Akhisarspor – a side the Foxes faced in the summer in a pre-season friendly.

Goals from Jeremy Bokila, Elvis Manu and Adrien Regattin means Fenerbahçe – 19-time Super Lig champions – sit 16th in the table after 15 fixtures.

Finally, Wales international forward George Thomas played 71 minutes for Scunthorpe United in their 2-0 loss at home to Gillingham on Saturday.

Two goals in the space of three minutes from Tom Eaves and Dean Parrett after the break saw the Iron suffer their third consecutive League 1 defeat.
