Turning attention to the cup following defeat at home to Birmingham City prior to the international break, the young Foxes were defeated by another second city opponent at the weekend, seeing us exit the U18 PL Cup at the group stage.

City found the opener at Bodymoor Heath, breaking the deadlock inside 10 minutes, courtesy of Hugo de Lisle’s goal. The hosts hit back within seven minutes, however, Harry Pinnell quickly getting Villa back on level terms.

The Baggies are the next visitors to Seagrave.

Jack McGrath then netted before the break to put the home side ahead for the first time, ahead of Finlay Barnard all-but wrapping up victory for Richard Beale’s side with 13 minutes to play.

Bismark Owusu’s stoppage-time finish halved the deficit, but it wasn’t enough and Villa claimed top spot in Group B, with Leicester finishing on three points.

Next up we'll welcome West Bromwich Albion to LCFC Training Ground for an U18 Premier League South clash on Saturday 29 November (11am GMT kick-off).
