Louis Page starts two games in the UEFA EURO U17 Championship in Albania
England Under-17s exit the tournament at the group stage after collecting four points
The Young Lions drew with Belgium and beat Czech Republic but finished third in Group B
Starting the Young Lions’ 1-1 draw with Belgium in their opening game of the tournament at Egnatia Arena last Tuesday, where Alejandro Gomes Rodríguez’s opener was cancelled out by Noah Fernandez, Page was in England’s starting XI again for the 4-2 defeat to Italy.
Gomes Rodríguez’s brace wasn’t enough to take anything on matchday two in Group B, leaving England’s qualification for the knockout stages out of their own hands.
In action against Belgium.
Knowing a win over Czech Republic might not be enough to finish in the top two if Belgium earned a point or more against Italy, Neil Ryan's side did manage a 4-2 victory on Monday evening, with Max Dowman, Gomes Rodríguez, Harry Howell and Harry Gray all scoring during the first half.
Page came on as a substitute on the hour-mark, gaining further international experience, as Czechia pulled two goals back, but results elsewhere saw England finish third, on four points, missing out on progression on goal difference.
There’s plenty more international action involving City players to come over the course of the next couple of weeks. Check back to LCFC.com, the LCFC App and @LCFC on social media for updates.
