Returning to PL2 action following the Premier League Cup defeat at home to Hull City, there were two changes to the XI from that game, with Joe Wormleighton and Louis Page coming in for Olabade Aluko and Josh King. It was the hosts who took an early lead inside four minutes; Fletcher Holman assisting Ethan Sutherland for the opener. They weren't ahead for long, however, as Jake Evans pounced shortly after to restore parity.
The game could have turned in the Foxes' favour following Ben Whittingham's sending off for a second bookable offence in first-half stoppage-time, handing City a man advantage ahead of the second period, but the away side were unable to find another way through against a resolute Wolves side.
The result leaves City 14th in PL2, on 13 points from nine games, prior to facing Everton at home in their next league outing on Monday 16 December. Before then, a trip to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League Cup group stage awaits on Friday 6 December.
