The centre-back brought experience from club and international level after joining in 2022, culminating in promotion at the end of 23/24. Starting all eight UEFA EURO 2024 qualifiers, Wout also played in each tournament match as the Red Devils reached the last-16, before being involved in two qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
