Ramsey joined the Clarets from Aston Villa in August 2023 on a five-year deal, becoming the club's 11th signing of that summer's transfer window for a fee in the region of £14 million. The winger came through the Aston Villa academy, which he joined at Under-9 level alongside his brother Jacob, and signed his first professional contract in March 2021 before winning the FA Youth Cup and the Under-19 European Championship with England. He gained senior experience on loan at Cheltenham Town, Norwich City and Middlesbrough, catching the eye with goals in the Championship, before making the move to Turf Moor. Ramsey made his Premier League debut against his boyhood club Villa in August 2023, but a serious injury suffered midway through the 2023/24 season disrupted his progress and limited his involvement the following campaign. He has represented England at every level up to Under-20.
