Stepping up to Under-21s football for the first time, the youngster impressed immensely over the course of that campaign, making 18 Premier League 2 Division 1 appearances, providing three assists and receiving the Player of the Season award at the season’s culmination in May.
Providing an attacking threat down the left-hand side, while also stepping into central defence on occasion, Flynn demonstrated his versatility for the Foxes, as well as leadership qualities when handed the captain’s armband on several matchdays.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international once again played regularly for City's Under-21s during 2021/22, with 20 league appearances bringing one goal and one assist.
While injury has restricted his involvement this term, Flynn has made an impact when featuring in PL2 and the Papa Johns Trophy.
