The youngster will remain with the Foxes until at least 2026 after penning a three-and-a-half-year deal, following a promising three seasons of rapid progression. He joined City’s Academy at the age of eight and has risen through the ranks to establish himself as a key player for the Under-21s.
One of many young players to have been introduced to the Development Squad via the Under 18s set-up, he became a regular with the Club's Academy side during 2020/21, with a total of 17 appearances to his name.
Given a handful of opportunities to impress with the Under-21s setup, debuting against Derby County in February 2021, Braybrooke become a regular in the team across 2021/22, stepping up to Premier League 2 standard with great effect.
Making an eye-catching impact from his central midfield position, the youngster fitted in seamlessly to the rigours of PL2 football, with one league goal and four assists to show for his efforts.
He also showed his leadership skills, captaining the Under-18s during their impressive runs to the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup and semi-finals of the U18 Premier League Cup that season.
On the bench for both legs of the UEFA Europa Conference League Quarter-Final with PSV Eindhoven in April 2022, he was also named as a substitute for City's Emirates FA Cup Third Round tie earlier in the year.
First spotted playing for local side Oadby Owls, the 19-year-old has been in Leicester’s Academy for over a decade and has since made his mark on the international stage too, with his performances at Academy level earning England recognition. Impressing for the Young Lions at Under-18s and now Under-19s levels, the Wigston-born youngster has captained his country at both age groups.
The 2022/23 campaign saw Braybrooke make his first team debut for the Foxes in a Carabao Cup victory over Newport County in November 2022. An ACL injury picked up in January 2023, shortly after scoring a stunning free-kick against Brighton & Hove Albion Under-21s, sadly ended his season prematurely.
