The young attacker came off the bench to make his Development Squad debut in the Premier League 2 Division 1 opener against Manchester United in August 2021, before his maiden start against Blackburn Rovers the following week.
After starring for Groby Juniors from the age of four, he joined Leicester City's Under-9s. A scholarship followed at Under-16s level and Alves played regularly for the Under-21s in 2021/22, finishing the season with 20 Development Squad appearances to his name, contributing one goal and one assist in PL2, while also helping the Under-18s to reach the latter stages of the FA Youth Cup and U18 Premier League Cup.
A supporter of the Club and former Season Ticket Holder, Alves is a big talent at LCFC Training Ground, making his senior debut for the Football Club in January 2022, coming on as a substitute during the second half of Leicester's 4-1 success over Watford in the Emirates FA Cup Third Round at King Power Stadium.
The 2022/23 campaign began in similar fashion, with a goal and an assist from his opening 11 PL2 matches, as well as another strike in the Papa Johns Trophy. Alves then made his first-ever appearance in the Carabao Cup, introduced as a second-half substitute during Leicester's win at MK Dons in December 2022.
Suffering an ACL injury in an FA Youth Cup tie just days later, Alves' season was ended prematurely. Still only 17, there is plenty more to come from the Leicester-born youngster upon his return to action.
