Crowds Flock To Kit Launch

The City Fanstore opened its doors to hordes of queuing Leicester fans on Saturday morning, who were eager to get their hands on the new PUMA 2014/15 home shirt.
Complete with a stylish new collar, the fresh design seems to have gone down a storm with the Blue Army, with kits already flying off the shelves as fans get themselves kitted out for the new Barclays Premier League campaign.

Available both in the City Fanstore and online at lcfcdirect.com, the new shirt will be what City’s stars will wear on their opening game of the season against Everton on 16 August, and if Saturday’s scramble for new shirts is anything to go by, there will again be a sea of blue supporting the team.

Season Ticket Holder and father-of-three, David Granger was delighted with the new kit on Saturday morning, telling LCFC.com: “There’s no doubt about it, this is a Premier League kit and the kids and I can’t wait to wear it to King Power Stadium next season.

“We were supposed to be somewhere else this morning, but with all the stuff going on with the kit and the Premier League, the kids got so excited and convinced me to come down for the launch, and it was definitely worth it.”

The unmistakable City ‘reflex’ blue remains in the new kit, alongside an eye-catching gold PUMA cat, with the name of City’s shirt sponsor, King Power, displayed proudly front and centre.

Men’s and ladies shirts are now available from £45 and juniors from £33, while many eager fans also took advantage of the City Fanstore’s shirt printing facilities.

Fans queued patiently from the early hours in the rain to get their shirts, and many have wasted no time sharing their pictures in the new kit with the world on social media using the hashtag #fearless.

Twitter user @orbitalraver said: “Received my shirt today… ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! All set for the new season now… THANK YOU!! :) #lcfc #newkit.”

Also on the social networking site, @Glenn_thomas tweeted: “Purchased my @OfficialFOXES shirt today, proper smart kit for being back in the EPL #LCFC.”

Another young supporter delighted with his Saturday morning purchase was Twitter user @KingKianLCFC, who tweeted: “I’m 7 and got up early to get my new #fearless #lcfc shirt. I even had to wake up my daddy!!”

If you’ve got you new kit and want to share a selfie in your new shirt, then make sure you tag us on , or and use #fearless.
