Crowds Flock To See Leicester City Stars In Los Angeles

- Kasper Schmeichel, Riyad Mahrez, Wes Morgan, Shinji Okazaki, Christian Fuchs and Luis Hernandez all give up their time to meet the supporters 

- Emile Heskey and Alan Birchenall throw the ceremonial first pitch at the LA Dodgers’ clash with the Tampa Bay Rays 

- Ben Chilwell and Demarai Gray offer advice to local youngsters at a coaching session in the StubHub Center 

Crowds flocked to Niky’s Sports store in Santa Monica as five of Leicester City’s Premier League-winning squad greeted soccer fans in Los Angeles. 

Kasper Schmeichel, Riyad Mahrez, Wes Morgan, Shinji Okazaki, Christian Fuchs and Luis Hernandez all took time out from their pre-season schedules to give a little back to the fans who have been so welcoming to them since their arrival in California on Sunday. 

Many of those supporters who queued patiently at the store will be at the StubHub Center at the weekend to watch the Foxes tackle French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain. 

Despite being more than 5,000 miles from King Power Stadium, there was still an impressive array of Leicester City merchandise on show form the supporters, who were keen to ask the City stars all about their remarkable title triumph. 

Hundreds were queuing around the corner for the players when they arrived – an indication of the impact the team’s Premier League title run has had around the globe. 

Meanwhile Club Ambassadors and legends Emile Heskey and Alan ‘The Birch’ Birchenall swapped football for baseball as they accepted an invitation to join the LA Dodgers for a game against the Tampa Bay Rays at Dodger Stadium. 

They weren’t just watching, however, as between them they were asked to complete the ceremonial first pitch in front of the crowd before the match got underway. 

Cool under pressure as ever, Emile delivered a flawless pitch that Birch caught first time in his mitt, much to the delight of the watching LA crowd. 

The players’ involvement with the local community also continued on Wednesday, with youngsters Ben Chilwell and Demarai Gray offering some words of wisdom to budding footballers on a talent ID camp about what it takes to become a professional. 

Youngsters of all ages listened intently as the duo answered their question before also joining in some sessions with the LCFC Community Trust’s coaches at StubHub Center. 

After that, Ben and Demarai rejoined the main group where once again they trained hard on the pitches outside StubHub Center, just a few hundred yards from where they will be tackling PSG in the coming days.
