Claudio Ranieri took his place among Italy’s elite football managers after being inducted into the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) Hall of Fame on Tuesday evening.
For the sixth year running, the FIGC has helped promote the efforts of Italians working as professionals within the game by recognising their individual achievements.
The Foxes’ title 2015/16 Premier League title triumph hit headlines across the globe and the man behind it all deservedly earned plenty of plaudits for his part in what is widely regarded as one of the most remarkable sporting achievements of all time.
Ranieri’s three decades spent as a manager yielded major trophies, but until his debut season at City, never a top-flight title.
The 65-year-old became only the third Italian manager ever to win the Premier League alongside Carlo Ancelotti and former Fox Roberto Mancini.
