Having already made a number of key stops in the first leg at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium, including a penalty save to deny Joaquin Correa, Schmeichel was again called into action numerous times .

A crucial stop to prevent Samir Nasri from finding the back of the net came with just four minutes on the clock, providing the platform for the Foxes to go on and open the scoring through Wes Morgan.

After Marc Albrighton added a second on 54 minutes, Sevilla had the chance to net an important away goal and force the tie to extra-time, but City’s No.1 went the right way to save from Steven N’Zonzi.

Well done, Kasper!
