U18's pre-match huddle

Successive Draws Put Under-18s Fourth In Group C

Successive draws with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Brighton & Hove Albion have propelled the Leicester City Under-18s up to fourth in the U18 Premier League Group C standings.

Sidnei Tavares and Khanya Leshabela got on the scoresheet for the young Foxes on Saturday 15 April to secure a 2-2 draw with Wolves as Trevor Peake’s men continue to impress during the group stage after finishing 12th in the regulation campaign before the two divisions split back in March

The following weekend, a trialist struck in the 55th minute to book a second point in seven days to keep City in the hunt for the Group C prize. Leicester can leapfrog Newcastle United into second place with a victory over the Magpies when the two sides meet at Belvoir Drive on Saturday 29 April

Peake’s men have now won one, drawn three and lost just one of their opening five fixtures ahead of their final two fixtures. After Newcastle this weekend, a trip to face West Bromwich Albion in the West Midlands awaits on Saturday 13 April

City’s remaining fixtures*:

Leicester City vs. Newcastle United – Saturday 29 April, 11am

West Bromwich Albion vs. Leicester City – Saturday 13 May, 11am
