Leicester City’s Development Squad face Liverpool in their final Premier League International Cup match at St George’s Park on Saturday 3 December (1pm kick-off).

Steve Beaglehole’s side fell to a 3-0 defeat by Arsenal on Monday night on the back of a six-match unbeaten run in Premier League 2, courtesy of a hat-trick by Gunners striker Eddie Nketiah at Meadow Park.

The fixture against the Reds this weekend is City’s final tie in the Premier League International Cup following defeats against Wolfsburg and FC Porto in October and November respectively.

The Foxes have won three of their seven matches domestically, however, with victories against Tottenham Hotspur, Reading and Derby County.

Speaking after the match at Arsenal on Monday, assistant manager Ben Petty said: “We weren’t clinical enough tonight but we’ve tried not to be too critical of the players because they’ve been terrific recently.

“We’ve just got to learn from our mistakes. Even though we lost tonight, we created so many chances and we just need to tidy up one or two areas.

“We don’t want it to knock the lads’ confidence because we will pick ourselves up and try and go on another run.”
