Betting Preview: Chelsea vs. Leicester City

After a last-gasp equalising goal against Everton at King Power Stadium last weekend, City travel to Stamford Bridge in one of the toughest tests of their Barclays Premier League season.
Chelsea, fresh off a Monday night 3-1 victory over Burnley at Turf Moor, host their first game of the season and will look to maintain their position at the top of the league.

They looked dangerous throughout the game at Turf Moor and with summer signings Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas both putting in an impressive shift 90 minute shift, the Pensioners are this term’s title favourites.

An instrumental Fabregas can be seen at evens to score in 90 minutes - only a goal missing from his superb display against the Clarets.

Sky Bet are offering a huge wager on Nigel Pearson’s men to take all three points when they travel to London on Saturday afternoon – they sit at 11/1 for the victory following their opening day point against the Toffees.

Meanwhile, there’s not a lot of value in a Chelsea win as Sky Bet puts them down as firm favourites at odds of 1/5 for the victory.

In their last three meetings there has been no shortage of goals with 18 shared between the two sides - including a seven-goal thriller in a 5-2 FA Cup quarter final win for Chelsea in March 2012.

With Fernando Torres netting twice in that match, Sky Bet offer him at 7/2 to score a brace and 16/1 for the hat trick.

If it’s set to be another goal fest, over 4.5 goals in the match is priced at 3/1, while six plus goals sits at a hefty 6/1

After Chris Wood’s late goal at the weekend, he’s down as 18/1 to be the last goalscorer of the match so if a late leveller is on the cards, that could be the pick of the bunch.

And fellow strike partners Leonardo Ulloa and David Nugent, sit at equal odds on the goal market with 14/1 to score first or last, 5/1 to net in 90 minutes, 40/1 to grab a double and a massive 200/1 for the hat trick.

With each side conceding in the first 45 minutes in the opening weekend of the Premier League, both teams to score in the first half sits at a valuable 4/1 and there could well be a lively start to the game at the Bridge on Saturday.
