Academy Star Set For England Duty

Leicester City Under-18s forward Layton Ndukwu has earned another call-up to the England Under-17s squad to play in Portugal next month.

The annual Algarve U17 International Tournament will see the talented youngster hope to face some of Europe’s hottest prospects.
Layton has already made an impact on the international scene after netting a perfect hat-trick in a 4-1 European Championship qualifying win over Cyprus in October.
Aiming to continue his fine form for his nation, England face Holland on 13 February, Portugal on 15 February and will conclude the tournament against last year’s winners Germany on 17 February.
Meanwhile, defender Darnell Johnson has been put on standby for the competition, having already played for the young Lions at Under-16s and Under-17s level.
Be sure to check back into LCFC.com in the coming weeks to keep up-to-date with their progress throughout the tournament.
