Christian Fuchs and one lucky Leicester City fan recently took a test drive in a revolutionary sports car to celebrate the Club’s third year in partnership with Leicester Sytner BMW.

Foxes supporter Nick Ashton won the chance to be driven around the city in style by defender Fuchs, starting at the Sytner BMW branch on Meridian Business Park, Leicester.

It is the third year that Sytner BMW, who currently hold the manufacturers’ award for ‘BMW Retailer of the Year’ for their outstanding service, have been the Club’s Official Car Partner.

The partnership is highly beneficial for both parties. It allows Sytner BMW to benefit from the global exposure of the Barclays Premier League – even more so given City’s stunning form in 2015/16 – while City hold a positive relationship with one of the world’s best known car manufacturers.

Thoroughly enjoying the experience, Nick said: “It was an amazing car to be in and I want one! Christian was amazing. He’s a brilliant driver and generally a really good guy.

“He’s a good character and he likes his power! It’s been an amazing season to watch so far. We’re doing really well. Hopefully we can carry it on!”

At the wheel of the i8 was Fuchs, whose driving was just as impressive as the performances he’s put in at left back for the Foxes since joining in the summer.

Fuchs said: “It was something new and something different. I’ve never driven a car like that – it’s just a fun car to drive and it has a lot of power!

“Me and Nick had some fun on the road out there. He told me he likes to drive fast, so at least he wasn’t screaming. I convinced him to buy a car each for his daughters!”

Jon Fryer, Head of Business at Leicester Sytner BMW, added: “Christian of course went out with Nick in the i8 and they both came back smiling. Christian likes his cars so he knows that this is one of the most exciting cars we sell.

“The partnership is fantastic. At the end of the day Leicester City are our local football club and our customers and staff are supporters, so we love to be involved.”
