Google+ & LCFC Host Kramaric Hangout

After being the subject of many Google searches since his arrival this month, Andrej Kramarić found himself in front of the search engine’s cameras on Tuesday for a special Google+ Hangout.
The 23-year-old’s has drawn a mammoth amount of media enquiries from journalists keen to put their questions to the Croatian international striker.

Many of these requests came from Andrej’s home nation of Croatia, where the nation’s press were keen to learn more about how their star man’s first week in Leicester went and how he’s settled into life in the Barclays Premier League.

So in what was a first for the Club, and with the help of and their technical team, six journalists from across Croatia connected from the comfort of their own homes as Andrej took centre stage for a fun and insightful press conference.

Football Community Manager at Google+, Ollie Smyth said:"It was great to be part of Andrej's first Croatian press conference and even better to see Leicester City's first Google+ Hangout run so smoothly.

“We're really looking forward to helping more Foxes take part in future Hangouts and growing the club's Google+ Page."

Topics covered in the Google+ Hangout, which was a first for the Club, included Andrej’s new team-mates, his relationship with manager Nigel Pearson, his debut against Stoke City and his hope for his Leicester City career.

Croatian journalist Alen Lesicki was thrilled to be involved in the press conference, telling LCFC.com: “It was a new experience for me, but it was really good and great to speak to Andrej. I write for a newspaper here in Croatia and it was a new experience for my readers too.

“Here in Croatia there’s a lot of interest in Andrej. He’s very popular and since he’s moved to England the interest has got even greater, so it was great to be able to speak with him.”

Leicester City's Head of Media, Anthony Herlihy, added:

“Due to the large amount of requests to speak to Andrej, we felt this was a good solution for everyone, and it proved to be a very enjoyable Hangout for both the player and the journalists.

“We’d like to thank Ollie and his staff at Google+ for their help in staging the Hangout, which ran very smoothly and we look forward to working closely with Google+ again in the near future.”

Leicester City’s own presence on Google+ continues to go from strength-to-strength, and is fast becoming one of the best places for Foxes fans to get their fix of content from their Club, as well as engaging with one another.
