Junior Foxes Project Makes Healthy Second Year Start

The Junior Foxes Health project is set to start its second year this week, with pupils from Babbington College, Crown Hills College and City of Leicester School.

Students from these schools are currently working towards their Junior Football Leaders award while gaining invaluable experiences delivering health session in local feeder Primary Schools.
Jamie Skinner, Education Officer at Leicester City’s Community Trust said: "The secondary school students have really progressed in terms of leadership and skills. The sessions the pupils deliver in the primary schools requires the pupils to take a lead on the theory and practical elements of health which benefits their BTEC performance."
This project is delivered to Year 5 and 6 pupils in primary schools across two sessions. The first outlines the theory behind living a healthy lifestyle which is complimented by a second session which concentrates on fitness. We look forward to working with these schools over the next few months.
