LCFC Start Off The New Year Against Nottingham Forest

It was tough start to the New Year for the Foxes’ Futsal team, as they took on local rivals Nottingham Forest at De Montfort University’s Queen Elizabeth II Leisure Centre.

The Year 1 side were up first against Forest and fell to a 14-8 loss in a toughly-contested game, which had all the excitement expected from a local derby. In response, Leicester City’s Year 2 team thrashed Forest in a 11-3 victory, where the Foxes dominated play in a very one-sided game.
Both fixtures were played in good spirit and will help the squad warm up for the Football League Futsal League played at Birmingham Indoor Futsal Academy.
The pick of the next round of fixtures sees City take on another local opponent in Derby County, with the Foxes hoping to overcome their East Midlands rivals.
