Leicester City Under-18s manager Trevor Peake says there’s more to come from his side following their 2-0 Barclays U18 Premier League victory over Fulham on Saturday.

The young Foxes recorded their second consecutive win of the 2015/16 season thanks to a double from forward Admiral Muskwe at Belvoir Drive.

The City striker won and converted a penalty in the first half, before scoring a fine second goal 20 minutes after the break.

And while Peake welcomed the win, the Under-18s boss explained that his attacking talent are yet to perform to their maximum.

“It was a decent win, so I’m pleased with that aspect, but in the second half, they had far too many chances,” Peake told LCFC.com. “They hit the post, the bar and then could have had a penalty.

“On a different day, that could mean that the result isn’t there. It’s not all about results, but I think we could have done better going forward.

“We’ve got some really exciting attacking players and I can’t really remember their goalkeeper having to make any real saves. Over the 90 minutes, I thought we could do better going forward, so there’s more to come in that aspect.”

Peake went on to praise goalscorer Muskwe, whose spot-kick displays in training earned him the right to take City’s penalty, according to the Under-18s manager.

He added: “Obviously, Admiral’s second goal was great. It looked like it was too far under his feet, but he’s dug it out. That was a great finish. It was a great time to get it.

“In terms of the penalty, it’s funny, because we had a shoot-out in training on Friday to see who would take the penalties and we decided that we’d to it over a five or six week period.

“Both Josh Knight and Admiral Muskwe scored all five, so we said take two more, and they both scored again. We left it with the staff, and they chose Admiral – it turned out to be a good choice in the end.”
