Ulloa: Next Season Starts Here

After helping his side to their biggest Barclays Premier League win of the season, striker Leonardo Ulloa says he is already focused on the 2015/16 campaign.
The Foxes retained their spot in England’s top flight with a goalless draw at Sunderland on 16 May, before rounding off the season with a dominant 5-1 victory over relegated Queens Park Rangers on Sunday.

The Argentine frontman, who scored City’s third goal against the Rs, believes it was important to finish the season on a positive note, and admitted that he’s already thinking about how himself and his side will perform next season.

"I am happy because the team worked hard all season to stay in this league,” Ulloa said. “We enjoyed it, the fans enjoyed it. We played well against QPR. It was very important because next season starts here.

"As a team, it is important for us to stay in the middle of the table. That is difficult, because every game is difficult but that is important for us."

Ulloa finished his first season in the Premier League as City’s top scorer with 11 goals, netting another two times in the FA Cup.

Hoping to better his tally next year, he added: “It was very important for me (to score goals) especially in my first season in the Premier League. It has given me more experience and I need to work even harder next season.

"I never think about how many goals I want to score. Even in Spain and Argentina I didn't think about that. I just always hope to score goals.

"I will work harder to score even more next season. I hope to do that. We need to work, the team, together.”
