Young Foxes Answer International Calls

- Pascanu has been a regular for the Club’s Under-18s side this season 

- Young right back Simranjit Thandi has been called up to the England Under-17s squad to compete in the annual Algarve U17 International Tournament 

- Thandi will hope to face some talented youngsters out in Portugal 

Over the next few weeks, two young Foxes could have the opportunity to play for their nations as Leicester City’s presence on the international stage continues to grow. 

Young defender Alex Pascanu has earned a call up to Romania’s Under-18s squad to take part in an international tournament over the next two months. 

Right back Pascanu’s nation will participate in the Roma Caput Mundi tournament, with action taking place over February and March. 

Romania Under-18s first take on England on 29 February, before fixtures against Greece on 1 March and Italy on 3 March. 

Meanwhile, young Leicester City defender Simranjit Thandi has been called up to England's Under-17s squad to play in Portugal next month. 

The annual Algarve U17 International Tournament will see some of Europe’s most talented youngsters compete out in Portugal. 

Thandi is the latest Fox to earn a call up to the young Lions, with Layton Ndukwu competing in this tournament last season. 

The young right back will hope to be involved against Portugal on 5 February in Parchal and Germany on 7 February in Lagos, before returning to Parchal on 9 February as England face the Netherlands.
