While aiming to get back to winning ways, Green understands the challenge that lies ahead of them this weekend. “It’s going to be a tough test, but one that we’re ready for and we’re looking forward to the challenge,” the 30-year-old stated. “Hopefully we can get a good number of fans down to King Power Stadium to cheer us on.
“It’s also nice to have a good atmosphere behind us for these home games and the fans make a difference and are always there when we need them.
“They’re a different side this season, as are we, and we’re going to go into the game on Sunday focusing on us and take the game to them. We’re hoping it’ll be an exciting one to watch.”
After four consecutive away games, the Welsh midfielder is excited to join back up with the Foxes’ faithful once again. City's improvements this season make her confident that the team will only continue to grow, labelling the development as a work in progress.
“King Power Stadium is our home, and we love playing there,” City's No.14 voiced. “The pitch, fans and everything about it is so nice which always gives us a boost, the fans especially when they come out and support us. We’re looking forward to seeing them again and hopefully picking up three points.
“Rome wasn’t built in a day. You can see the progress we’ve made already from this season to last and it’s about placing those building blocks that we’ve been creating, and you can see how much better our football has been.
“It’s just about keeping to our processes and building on each game. I’m proud of how well the team have been doing and it’s about keeping that going.”
