- Leicester City earn fourth Premier League point in three days with draw at Middlesbrough- Captain Wes Morgan leads a superb defensive display in Riverside deadlock- Foxes skipper pleased with result after demanding New Year double-headerA hard-earned point at Middlesbrough was a positive outcome for Leicester City captain Wes Morgan, particularly after a demanding New Year schedule.Less than 48 hours after a gruelling 1-0 win over West Ham United on New Year’s Eve, Claudio Ranieri’s men were back in the thick of Premier League battle at the Riverside Stadium. And despite being unable to find the breakthrough that would have secured a first away win of the season, City produced a resolute display to keep a close rival in the table at arm’s length with a goalless draw.“I don’t think either side created much today, but it’s tough with the quick turnaround from Saturday to playing again today,” said Morgan.“There were some tired legs out there but, on reflection, a nil-nil is a good point for us and a clean sheet is always positive.”Having failed to secure a Premier League shutout since early October before this weekend, the Foxes have now recorded back-to-back clean sheets – a positive sign in their quest for consistency this term.Wes added: “We know what we expect of each other defensively and we know should be giving more, so it’s good to get a clean sheet, especially from a defender’s point of view. Hopefully we can continue with that.”
