reaped the rewards of venturing forward against Derby County after netting his first goal for the Club in emphatic fashion at King Power Stadium.
But when the ball broke to him inside the Derby half, Ndidi had only one thing on his mind, as his powerful left-footed strike cannoned in off the post from distance.
“I’m very happy with my goal and also ,” Ndidi told . “I was actually asked to stay in midfield in front of the defence, but I saw there was space so I just had to attack it.
“It’s difficult [to come on in extra-time] because there wasn’t much time for me to get warmed-up, but it was okay.”
He added: “Today’s game was important of course, but the most important game is on Sunday. Now, we just have to let this go, like we do with all the other games, and focus on Sunday’s game.
“As the coach says, there is no pressure. We are warriors and we just have to fight. We don’t have to put ourselves under pressure. We just have to fight like we have been doing.”
