Ranieri knows Friday’s fixture at Pride Park will provide him with an opportunity to potentially make changes to the starting XI, but the desire his players show will not be affected.
“I will put out the best team because we need to go through the cup and we need to get confidence because we have lost so many matches in the last few weeks,” the City boss added.
“They have reacted very well, but also in the other training sessions they’ve reacted very well. It is important to show this desire on the pitch during the game.”
